Plain-language rules for using my fwends. By creating a profile you agree to them.
A private app for close friend groups: track birthdays, plan dates, split bills and send last-minute hangout invites. It is not a public social network, a marketplace, or a payment service.
Don’t use the app to:
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
You keep ownership of everything you add — photos, plans, expenses and messages. You give us only the permission needed to store it and show it to the friend groups you chose. We don’t sell it or use it for advertising.
The expense tracker is a calculator, nothing more. It records who owes whom and converts currencies using public exchange rates, which can be delayed or approximate. Actual payments happen outside the app between you and your friends, and settling a bill in the app is simply a note that you agreed it’s done. We are not a party to your debts.
Hangout invites share a one-time snapshot of your location with your group, and only until the countdown expires. There is no continuous tracking. Share it only when you want to be found.
The app is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will never be unavailable or lose data, and we’re not liable for missed plans, wrong calculations, or anything that happens between friends. Keep your own record of anything important.
You can stop any time by deleting your account. We may end access if these terms are broken. Some shared group history stays visible to the group, anonymised, so their records still add up — see the privacy policy.
If these terms change in a meaningful way we’ll say so in the app. Questions? Head to support.
