Help for my fwends — a private app for close friend groups. Most answers are below; if you're stuck, there's a way to reach a human at the bottom.

Getting started

  1. Open the app and tap sign up.
  2. Create your profile: first name, last name, your birthday and (optionally) a photo.
  3. Create a friend group or open an invite link a friend sent you.

Signing in later? Tap sign in and use the email address you signed up with — you'll get a magic link, no password needed.

Invites & groups

  • Every group has an invite link. Open your group, tap invite, and share it via WhatsApp, SMS, email or anything else.
  • People who open the link and sign up join your group automatically.
  • Group owners can remove members, regenerate the invite code, and change the group photo.
  • You can leave any group at any time from the group screen.
  • Too noisy? Mute a group from the group screen or the home screen — you'll stay in the group but stop getting alerts for it.

Birthdays, plans & bills

  • Birthdays — add your friends' birthdays in your profile or from the home screen. You'll get an alert on the day. You can also keep a private list of birthdays for people who never sign up.
  • Plans — create a date poll in a group and everyone votes on the dates they can make. The date with the most yes votes wins. Fixed events can be added too.
  • Bills — add an expense, tick who's in, pick any currency. The app keeps a running balance of who owes whom, and anyone can settle the bill for the whole group or a single plan.

“Come have a drink with me”

  • Tap the button in a group to share that you're up for drinks right now, with your location.
  • You choose the countdown (30 minutes by default). When it runs out, the invite expires and your location is hidden automatically.
  • Friends can reply “I'm joining, OMW!” straight from the alert.

Privacy & your data

  • The app is invite-only and contains no ads or trackers.
  • Read the full privacy policy.
  • Read the terms of use.
  • You can delete your account yourself at any time: open Your profile and tap “Delete my account”. There's nothing to email anyone about.
